articule, diffusion système minuit du québec et CKUT présentent SEXE! art action, la première édition des Festivals internationaux du sexe (FIS), un événement annuel consacré à l’exploration des différentes dimensions de la sexualité par l’intermédiaire de l’art performance, de la manœuvre et des nouvelles pratiques artistiques. La programmation du FIS2006 met à l’affiche onze artistes d’ici et de l’étranger, et comprend une soirée de performances et de manœuvres, une présentation d’œuvres et documents audio, radio et vidéo, ainsi qu’un atelier communautaire et une table ronde autour de thèmes liés à la sexualité, allant de l’identité au désir, en passant par les rapports au corps, à l’autre, aux normes et au pouvoir. Laissez vos inhibitions à l’entrée!
articule présente également The Enterprise de Pavilion Projects, un projet éclaté et autogéré par des artistes explorant de nouveaux territoires dans les imaginaires de la cité, et cherchant à concrétiser les courants et les sentiments qui animent les communautés artistiques de Montréal. Dans le cadre de Viva! Art Action, Pavilion Projects organise une conférence de presse présentant The Enterprise et ses ramifications au public http://www.enterprise.pavilionprojects.com
Tout au long de ses vingt-six ans d’existence, articule est resté fidèle à son engagement sans cesse renouvelé envers la fonction socio-politique de l’art actuel, ainsi qu’à sa passion pour la discussion. En plus d’offrir un programme d’expositions en galerie, articule continu à soutenir un large éventail d’activités alternatives faisant la promotion du dialogue, mettant à l’épreuve les limites du geste esthétique et construisant des réseaux avec des artistes, des collectifs et d’autres organismes du milieu artistique et culturel. http://www.articule.org

As part of Viva! Art Action and International Sex Festivals (ISF)

articule, diffusion système minuit du québec and CKUT present SEXE! art action, the first edition of the International Sex Festivals (ISF), an annual event dedicated to the exploration of the various dimensions of sexuality through performance art, manoeuvres and new artistic practices. The IFS2006 program features eleven artists from here and abroad, and includes an evening of performances and manoeuvres, presentations of audio, video and radio works and documentation, as well as a community workshop and a round table on sexuality-related themes. These will range from identity to desire, including relationships to the body, to others, to norms, to power. Leave your inhibitions at the door!
articule also presents The Enterprise by Pavilion Projects, an exploded artist-run project that explores new territories in the imaginations of a city, working towards materializing the currents and sentiments that run through Montreal’s artistic communities. As part of Viva! Art Action, Pavilion Projects is organizing a press conference presenting The Enterprise and its ramifications to the public.

Over the twenty-six years of its existence, articule has been faithful to its evolving commitment to the socio-political function of art and its love for talk.
